Breaking: Moon bags are still in

It’s no big secret that moon bags have been all the rage for a while now. Cropping up in different iterations and colours; it seems that the moon bag’s reign just won’t let up ─ and why should it? They’re trendy, they’re convenient and they’re always by your side (kinda like a bestie). For all of these reasons listed, we rate the moon bag will continue to be popular in the foreseeable future.

Even though they serve a practical purpose, styling these babies can sometimes be tricky ─ especially when we are all about versatility and getting maximum wear out of our accessories these days.

Not sure about going hands-free yet? Allow us to change your mind by showing you how to style moon bags below.

Moon bag + Athleisure

We’re all familiar with this style combo, but for those of us, who were born after the ‘90s, pay attention. You’ll need a crop top, sweatpants and a pair of fresh sneakers to pull off this look. As seen on most of your instafaves, the best accessory to complement your moon bag is undoubtedly clout sunglasses

Belt bag + Dress / Skirt

We simply can’t get enough of belt bags, especially since they tend to be better received in the high fashion circles, as opposed to the retro ‘80s moon bag version. We’ve often seen them sported with a printed midi skirt or dress and stylish block heels on many fashion week mavens and we decided to recreate the formula for everyday convenience.

Belt bag + Suit

Smart suiting has returned and the world order has been restored once again. Since it’s summer, we’ll be opting for the linen and silk variety, paired with a bum bag (of course). Suiting needn’t always be a serious affair though; we aren’t against at swapping out our separates for other pieces to get more wear out of them.

The possibilities are endless with moon bags as they offer you the opportunity to go hands-free and they also allow you to store only the essentials ─ which is perfect when you’re on-the-go this summer 2018. Show us how you style yours and tag #StyleUnrestricted on you Instagram pics.
