Editors Choice – Party Season Looks for Women

When party season texts you like ‘hey, what are you up to tonight?’ your answer should always be ‘up to no good’. Even If for you a party means brunch with one too many mimosas, or a night out with your besties, here’s the style inspiration for outfits you can do either in.

Our Fashion Editor has compiled SEVEN completely stylish looks that will suit your every mood. That way you’ll be sorted for those big occasions of season, or hey, if you’ve got a week full of socialising these looks are the one way ticket to looking your damn finest at every party.

What’s great about this selection is that it boasts basics that you can even wear to work, or on days you’re taking it easy too. We wouldn’t recommend you do it the morning after the party but hey, with a spritz of perfume here and there and a cool pair of sunnies that you’re wearing ‘because you’ve got pink eye and you don’t want to subject anyone to that sight’, well you might just get away with it. So, with clothing for your daily missions and your evening endeavours, you’ll never be without something to wear again – that’s a win-win.

Our Fashion Editor takes us through the looks:

Party Look 1:

The little black dress (LBD) is the perennial go-to during every party season. This year, choose a LBD with an asymmetric neckline or bared shoulders. Compliment your dress with the season’s must-have accessories; a pair of block heeled platform sandals, tassel earrings (tassel anything really) and a touch of animal print. You can find more dresses online here.

Party Look 2:

Need to get noticed or make a statement? A red lace, halter-neck bodycon dress will tick just about every ‘look at me’ box there is. Striking heels and earrings (again the tassels!) will add some extra drama to your look. Prepare to be seen!

Party Look 3:

The 90’s are having their moment in the sun this season and so is its grunge aesthetic. This party season style your grunge-inspired look like Clueless heroine Cher Horowitz with leather details, studded heels, an embellished and quilted cross-body bag combined with the desire to always add a little more sparkle.

Party Look 4:

Should eveningwear be required, don’t be afraid to think outside the box. A dark based floral chiffon maxi dress makes a great summer alternative to traditional night-time fare. Add delicate jewellery and a block-heeled evening sandal for a great 1940’s-inspired look.

Party Look 5:

Jumpsuits are a great alternative to the dress when prepping for a night out. For a clean, modern and impactful look, opt for bare shoulders in crisp white with a touch of golden luminescence.

Party Look 6:

The summer party season would be ill-served without the appearance, or two, of a vibrant floral dress. Update a classic full-skirted silhouette with the addition of bold jewellery pieces and a leather cropped biker jacket.

Party Look 7:

Playsuits are a fun, versatile and whimsical option for a night out. They are the perfect dress-up or down piece of clothing for day-to-night dressing. Add a pair of statement heels and all the sparkle you can handle to watch the sunset from a rooftop bar.
