Game of Thrones: Get the look

For the Jon Snows out there, winter has come. After a gruelling wait, the much anticipated season 7 of Game of Thrones has finally aired and we’re expecting a beaut of a season. Cuddled under your throw on the couch with a hot cuppa, this is the show that takes you away to that place of endless possibilities after your day’s humdrum at work.

One of the more awe-inspiring facets to Game of Thrones, apart from its magical world, is its eye-catching fashion trends. Don’t get us wrong, this isn’t a run of the mill shop the story post, but more a guide on how to dress like your most beloved characters (cosplayers, take note).

Cersei Lannister:

The villain if you will, but for some reason when she is in the room, your attention is on her and the show simply wouldn’t be the same without her. Who wouldn’t want that kind of presence when entering a room? Her iconic go-to is hands down the wrap dress. Whether it’s off-the-shoulder, halter neck or kimono-like, the wrap dress forms the backbone of her wardrobe, so go ahead and get your Cersei on with your very own gown. To end off your regal look, be sure to complete your look with intricate braids and lush waves.

Daenerys Targaryen:

Loved, respected and a hero of heroes, Daenerys knows how to win the attention of those around her and when part of a crowd, she makes a point of standing out. This self-crowned queen is all about her individuality, which sounds like the modern woman if you ask us. We’re talking about flowing maxi dresses to cut-out bodycon dresses – she styles to her needs. For a more austere air pick the former, or slip into a windowed bodycon for a statement that says you’re powerful and independent.

Arya Stark:

If the damsel in distress-cum-princess type doesn’t describe you, then you must be an Arya Stark kind of woman. Bold, daring and courageous in every way, Arya is one feisty chick and we love it. It’s pretty obvious based on her wardrobe choices that she favours practicality when getting dressed (who doesn’t), so put together a look in homage to her  with a combination of slim fit pants, fitted tops and belted jackets or, if you’re out enjoying the town, a pleated maxi skirt will work just as well.

Jaime Lannister:

The Lannisters sure know a thing or two about style. Playing the part of an anti-hero, some would say, this prince grabbed our attention from the start. Sure, not every guy is a bad boy, but the surest way to get that bad boy look is with a leather jacket (you heard it here first, people). Leather jackets, leather gloves, even leather pants will have you on that anti-hero steez.

Jon Snow:

One thing Jon does know is how to get the ladies. A hero from day one and a determined one at that, he is a character that is loved for all the right reasons. Being a man of the north, Jon often has his coat on and with winter here, there isn’t a more fitting style so we say bring on those coats and fur-lined puffer jackets. Layer it well and we’re sure your hero complex will shine and you might just hit ladies’ man status, too.

And there you have it. All that’s left is to make a bowl of popcorn, dress up and enjoy what is to come of season 7!
