Here at Zando, we don’t do fashion half-measure. Campaigns, shoots, events ─ you name it ─ we always do THE MOST. So naturally when we got a new gadget to play with, our girls couldn’t contain their excitement at the opportunity to flex on the gram and that’s exactly what we did.

Look 1: Monochrome Mavens and Sporty Spice 

Scrolling through the gram, walking in the mall, paging through your favourite glossies ─ all you’ll see is a strong influx of black and white this season. Whether in print form or as a solid, monochrome always makes a statement. 

Fareedah opted for the former with a simple button-down blouse that screams chic and completed her look with trendy bell-bottoms with slits in the front. A large sun hat and statement gold earrings gave this look the touch of class it deserves. 

“The only time you’ll see me in black this summer is if it’s paired with a loose-fitting white tee. This Utopia button down is a must ─ big, earthy-looking buttons are all the rage right now and pairing it with a ridiculously large straw hat was an easy ‘yes’ for me. The front slit on these high-waisted pants add some extra drama that I love.”

Fika went for the street-style approach with gingham-printed pants and a sassy off-shoulder bodycon top. The stark white bum bag at the waist gave the entire outfit a cheeky finish while the lucite heels rounded out her look with necessary sass. The big pair of sunnies was just the cherry on top. 

“This look is both classic and edgy and with a touch of trend-worthy accessories, Zando keeps my style on point at all times.”

Bianca served us sporty spice realness in a horizontal-stripe wide-leg pants and a cute baby blue crop. Mini shades and matching flatforms were her statement pieces, paired with striking gold-tone accessories and tons of attitude. 

Look 2: Harajuku Realness

A slice of Asian cuisine and a touch of neon lighting made for a huge mood come midday. Our girls were hungry for adventure and dumplings so we headed over to a trendy new spot in the CBD and ordered some with a side of slay. Fika in a striking red printed number with the customary glitter crossbody bag, Bianca rocking athleisure glam in a white bodysuit, a messenger boy hat and side-striped leggings and Fareedah in a colour-block duo were the main course on the trend menu. 

“I love athleisure look because it can be super comfortable and cool at the same time. This look takes the cool factor up a notch and makes it summer ready with a flirty dress and noteworthy statement shades.”

“I love to wear vibrant, bold and vivacious colours without going over the top. I’ve gone for the classic mom jeans and blouse combo, paired with summer’s must-have items: a straw bag and wooden earrings. This is by far one of my favourite looks to-date and will most likely be my uniform throughout the summer season.”

“This look made me feel really sassy and I didn’t even care about the fact that it’s summer, I needed this fur coat in my life. I don’t care what anyone says ─ leggings are pants!”

Look 3: Extra

Cardi B and the likes have inspired us to be a little more extra, live a little bolder and apologise for who we are a little lesser. Taking that into account, our girls took to the streets in their boldest, brightest and most outstanding gowns ─ simply because! (okrrrr?)

Fareedah found herself in a gorgeous green floral-printed gown and matched it with a printed scarf and some ‘wow’ earrings for that extra pop. What we love about this look is that it is so high-fashion yet so easy to pull off. A touch of glam + print blocking = red carpet ready

“I’m all about prints this summer ─ print on print on print. A few years ago, this would have been over the top for me, but now I can’t get enough. The iridescent drop earrings really added the extra sparkle that my outfit needed.”

In true Mean Girls spirit, Fika donned her Wednesday’s finest in a popping pink sexy number and matching pointy heels. Her only accessory: a leopard print sling. This look is both kitschy and sexy and we simply couldn’t get enough of it. 

“This pink number is a bold choice and since summer is around the corner, so there is no better time to be just that.”

Bianca channelled her inner pageant princess at a local convenient store with a sequin and tulle cocktail frock. Though out-of-place in the convenient store, she strutted those aisles like they were her very own runway.
