Top 6 Restaurants To Try In Cape Town

Let’s face it, it’s extremely difficult to keep up with Cape Town’s restaurant buzzing scene. There are many go-to favourites and ramen joints that pop up often, from tried-and-tested favourites to less-known gems. And the list of choices seems to grow year on year. The Mother City certainly is spoilt for choice when it comes to luncheons and dining.

Cape Town is such a big foodie scene, which actually makes it difficult to choose between the hundreds of restaurants. From African and Asian to Indian and Mediterranean, the Mother City offers it all.

Here are six of Cape Town’s top restaurants you definitely have to try out this year.

El Burro, Green Point

Are you a lover of Mexican food? Well, the El Burro restaurant in Green Point is your best bet. This isn’t just another Cape Town Mexican restaurant. They don’t serve tex-mex-food or Mexican junk food, but rather real Mexican cuisine with a unique, authentic menu. The build-your-own-tacos are highly recommended. Enjoy that meal with fillings like fried fish, pork and grilled chicken and lashing of sour cream, pickled red onions and guacamole. No matter how full you are, and believe us you will be, churros are an absolute must for dessert. View menu here or the website here

Hudsons, The Burger Joint

Their burgers are made using free-range and grass-fed beef, brisket, free-range chicken, pulled pork and ostrich – all of which makes it a restaurant loved by many locals and visitors. The “free-range” burger is usually more delicious with sides such as onion rings, sweet potato fries or coleslaw. This bubbly burger joint has meals for vegetarians too, so everyone is welcome. YAY!

The Hudsons, Burger Joint is open everyday from 12pm to 11 pm with branches in Gardens, Claremont, Greenpoint, Stellenbosch, Parkhurst, Hazelwood, Umhlanga and Bedfordview.
