This January, we at Zando blow out the candles on our 6th birthday. Having accomplished so much in the 6 years since our launch, we thought we’d share a few of our milestones with you. Connecting customers to the most exciting brands, managing campaigns with brilliant partners and measuring our success using large and reliable data are some of the qualities that makes Zando so unique, so needed and so loved by our market.
Thanks to Zando, fashion-forward individuals are no longer expected to pay exorbitant prices for on trend clothing and search shop to shop, site to site for the newest brands.
Fun Fact: After having launched in 2012, the first footwear we processed ourselves from receiving stock to shooting to uploading to site was havaianas! Since then, we’ve grown our footwear category tremendously, head online for proof!
Looking back, our first studio was in a little flat in the CBD of Cape Town.
In 2014, we turned 2! It turned out to be not-so-terrible-twos as we were the winner of the best customer service award as well as the winner of the best shopping process award. The following year, we were the runner up for the best eCommerce store award.
In November 2016, 100 items were sold every minute, orders were dispatched every 4 seconds and a whopping 22 million South Africans were reached. Let’s put this into perspective… All parcels stacked would have been higher than Table Mountain!
Fast forward to present – January 2018. We’ve hit the ground running by launching our Best Price campaign. Promising our customers the lowest prices delivered to anywhere in South Africa. Due to good, long-standing relationships with suppliers, and wanting to extend that relationship to you, our loved customers, we’re able to bring you the best prices right to your finger tips! Fun Fact: Of our very first staff who started with us 6 years ago, 19 are still with us today!
