The Nikel Event | Cosmetics South Africa

The modern woman leads a busy lifestyle and often tends to neglect a vital part of her beauty regimen: skincare. Whether young or old, it is never too late to start taking care of your skin – it is truly your most valuable asset after all, said the beauty representative at the Nikel Experience Tour 2017.

This past Saturday, we had the pleasure of reviewing Nikel Cosmetics for the first time, along with a few industry heavyweights, including Sarie Magazine and the beautiful Leigh-Anne Williams. The experience kicked off approximately at 11:45am at The Table Bay Hotel and attendees were offered refreshments and brunch on arrival. Thereafter, we were introduced to the brand via a live demonstration of each product on Leigh-Anne, who graciously let the Nikel representatives apply elixirs, tonics and creams to her face as well as elaborating on the merits of each while doing so.

Now we know you’ve probably tried and tested numerous products on the market and your vanity cabinet is stacked with pretty pots of junk by now. We’ve all heard the ads promising eternal youth. ‘No more wrinkles’. We all know the pitch. After seeing the live demonstration, it is safe to say that Nikel does not make any such promises. In fact, the brand aligns itself with integrity and has a large focus on wellness, nurturing and skincare.

A perfect synergy of pharmacy and cosmetology, “Nikel products are characterized by a personalized approach to the client as an individual and to client’s skin needs and problems.” Each product offering is especially formed with unique properties originating in the Croatian Mediterranean to combat different problematic phases that the skin may face. With a large centre on nourishment, hydration and anti-ageing, Nikel’s range is so extensive that it covers all skin types, be it young or old.

One product that stood out in particular was the Nikel Cleansing Milk With Immortelle. Featuring a range of minerals, oils and butters along with the key ingredient, Helichrysum Italicum Flower Oil (aka Immortelle), this gentle purifying milk not only removed Leigh-Anne’s makeup in one sweep, it also rid her skin of any excess impurities that lay hidden beneath. The end result: radiant and nourished skin that required no rinse. It is suitable for all skin types.

They completed Leigh-Anne’s regimen with the Alpine Rose Tonic. Alpine Rose Stem Cells makes for effortless for skin repair, and increases the skin’s own stem cell vitality. It is also a key protector against the harmful influence of weather.

“I haven’t had a single pimple on my face since using Nikel,” Leigh-Anne concluded.
