How to change your Daniel Wellington straps

All of Daniel Wellington watch straps are interchangeable and can be easily swapped to change the look of your watch. Our carefully selected assortment of straps allows you to change the style of your watch depending on occasion, mood and personal preference.

Follow our step by step instructions below:

STEP 1: FIND THE TOOL

Use the strap tool included in the bottom of your watch case for changing both leather and mesh straps. You can also use a similar, small item with a narrow point (like an earring or a needle) to change or adjust the size of your strap.

STEP 2: LOOSEN THE SPRING BAR

Use the narrow end of the tool to push the spring bar through the hole from the side of the lug. When pushed, the spring bar will loosen from the hole and can easily be detached from the other lug.

STEP 3: REMOVE THE STRAP

Detach the strap from the watch and remove the spring bar from inside the strap. The same bar will be used to attach the new strap.

STEP 4: PUSH THE SPRING BAR INSIDE THE LUG

To attach a leather or a mesh strap, push the spring bar through the hole in the watch strap until both ends are visible.

STEP 5: ATTACH THE NEW STRAP

Place one end of the spring bar in the hole in one lug and push the other end into the hole in the second lug to attach the strap.

How to attach a Nato strap:

STEP 1: ATTACH THE SPRING BAR TO THE CASE

Place one end of the spring bar in the hole in one lug and push the other end into the hole in the second lug.

STEP 2: PREPARE THE NEW STRAP

Prepare the new strap by separating the two strap-parts from each other. Pull the longer strap piece up through the metal loop.

STEP 3: POSITION THE WATCH CASE ON THE NEW STRAP

Start at the top of the watch case and insert the long part of the strap from the front of the watch to the back through the opening between the watch case and the spring bar. Pull the strap and insert it from back to front through the opening at the bottom of the case. Slide the case to the middle of the strap.

STEP 4: SLIDE THE STRAP THROUGH THE LOOP

Insert the long end of the strap through the metallic loop at the end of the shorter part of the strap.
