Skip Perfect Care – How To Take The Best Care Of Your Dark, White and Delicate Clothing

For over 50 years Skip has been the leader in garment care in South Africa and once again they are pioneering a major advance with the announcement of three specialised products for three different types of clothing. We chatted to the Skip brand manager to learn a bit more about this Perfect Care Range.

Skip’s proposition is about clothes care; keeping clothes new for longer. Their formulations are crafted for this purpose. Fabric care is a key unmet need by South African consumers and developing products tailored for catering for specific items is a natural progression for Skip as it continues to deliver on it’s care promise in the market.

The name Perfect Care Range says a lot – do these products live up to that and how?

To me; Perfect means the best. Each formulation has been constructed with the specific fabric type/shade in mind. It is therefore fit for purpose; for example Perfect Darks is specifically formulated to deliver the best care for Dark clothing; which differs from the best
care for delicate/white clothing.

Let’s talk through the 3 variants and differences of this range

1. SKIP DARKS: Contains fibre care technology to keep your dark clothes dark for longer, remove bobbles and helps prevent fading

2. SKIP WHITES: With additional brightening ingredients to remove stains, care for your garments and keep them white for longer

3. SKIP DELICATES: Designed to be used for hand or auto washing, gentle on your lace, silk and knit items and also gentle on your hands.

These are technologically advanced and specially formulated products which will extend the life of favourite items. Consumers will get real long term benefits in keeping clothes new for longer by taking a differentiated approach to their washing of clothing types.

SKIP Darks, Whites and Delicates are now available nationwide.

We had 2 questions for the Skip brand manager, see her answers below!

Q1. Do you use it the same as powder? In the same section as the powder would go?
A1. YES

Q2. Are there any pet hates when it comes to the laundry?

A2. Black pants and white in general. When your new black pants fade after one wash it’s incredibly frustrating; especially when you have invested in a quality pair. And then discolouring of whites. Again, specifically pants; I think because I wear them a lot. I am personally really excited about this range to help keep my favourites my favourites for longer.

Before we close off we agree using these products will help care for your clothes – but are there any other laundry tips Skip has for us?
There are so many! With the strength of the South African sun – dry your darks inside out, or keep them out of the sun when drying if you can. And then with winter arriving; drying jerseys on a flat surface to keep their shape is a good one, it all helps keep them just like new for longer.
