Brand Diaries – Footwork

We sat down with the team at Footwork and the face of their W18 collection, Thuli Phongolo, to round up some of the hottest winter footwear trends.

About Footwork

Since the brand’s launch in 1989, Footwork has continued to provide styles that are at the forefront of sought-after fashion, season after season. Consistent quality, competitive price points and a trend focus are the key components that have positioned Footwork as a powerful force in the local footwear industry.

Footwork understands that the busy, fashion-savvy woman needs a collection of footwear that caters for every social occasion in her diary. Thus, the brand has made every effort to become the destination label for building the most coveted collection of styles that are both on-trend and ever-reliable.

In true Footwork fashion, the brand’s winter ’18 offering will help you style beautiful looks for every social event, every change of weather our unpredictable seasons are known for, and every opportunity to be unappolgetically fabulous. As the chilly months begin to take centre stage, Footwork’s signature nod to the latest catwalk trends will have you drooling and ready to pull out your winter coats.

Footwork x Thuli Phongolo

Soweto-born Thuli Phongolo is known for her bubbly, fierce and outspoken personality, and has proved to embody all the zest of a Footwork woman. When announcing the renewal of her partnership with Footwork, Thuli captioned her post on Instagram, “You’re going to love their shoes as much as I do! I’m so excited!”

We had Thuli round up her top footwear trends that need to be in every wardrobe this winter – from classic year-round favourites, to the showstoppers that can’t be ignored!

Thuli’s Winter Footwear Must-Haves

“It’s so important to buy shoes that are versatile; shoes that can be styled with anything,” says Thuli. “It’s what we call ‘ballin’ on a budget’ – buy it once and wear it a thousand times, but it looks different every time!”

“You also want to make sure you’re making a statement,” Thuli adds. “You need to make sure your shoes set you apart from everyone in the room.”
