Qasim Akhlaq, the managing director grew up in Liverpool with his parents who sold women’s jeans in a small store and were the inspiration behind his future endeavours. At the age of 17, he took the plunge and opened his first shoe store in the city which he ran for 8 years before moving to E-commerce. This was the birth of Public Desire in September 2014.
Qasim made the bold decision to target his customers through Instagram and rely on social influencers and bloggers to reach them. Public Desire launched their first celebrity campaign for AW16, the #PDxHB collection. Hailey Baldwin, a must-see model on the rise brought her A game to the table for this collaboration and it was a huge success.
