Suit Yourself
Though it’s hardly a new concept, smart dressing and tailored suits are still trending on all major runways ─ yes, even in summer. Be it double breasted, fitted or even deconstructed, we very much approve of the blazer and tailored pants combo this season. Our advice: Opt for a lightweight textile like linen or silk to keep cool this summer.
Shorts are in
You already knew this but, short-length shorts are very trendy right now. Realise a smart look with a chino pair, or go retro with psychedelic prints on the beach ─ just make sure that you own a few of these, come the warmer weather.
Show some skin
Men, it’s high time you started showing off some cleavage! Let that manly torso reign free with a loose-fitting shirt or opt for a more classic approach with a fitted suit, sans shirt (as seen on many runways this SS19). Kindly note, if you are going to give this trend a go, make sure that your grooming is on point.
Pattern Clash & Acid Rave
This summer ‘19, we throw it back to 2000 when everyone rocked baggy fits, tie-dye and psychedelic prints. The key accessory: the bucket hat. No colour is too bright to wear, no logo is too big to represent and no print is off-limits to mix and match ─ exciting times.
Hiking Sandals
Summer is the season for sandals ─ no debating this. This time around, we’re drawing inspiration from dads and slipping our feet into something more comfortable, namely, hiking sandals. The more straps, the better. We love them in leather, but we aren’t mad at the webbing variety either.
