Eid-al-Fitr 2019 Fashion Guide

For those of you who don’t know, Eid-al-Fitr is a day that marks the end of the Islamic month of Ramadan and is celebrated over a period of three days. To be clear, Eid is not a “Muslim Christmas,” it is a day of reward for the month of discipline and reflection on what has transpired during Ramadan. Eid signals the end of fasting and the beginning of a new Islamic month, Shawwaal.

As we approach the end of yet another joyous Ramadan and look forward to Eid-al-Fitr, it’s time to reflect on the blessings we’ve received over this auspicious period and most importantly, start planning our outfits for Eid.

What to wear on Eid-al-Fitr?

Layering is the name of the game when dressing for Eid-al-Fitr. The key is to cover up modestly, yet still, maintain a sophisticated look.  This year, we love oversized fur coats and fitted melton coats over flirty dresses that cover the knees. For those who are in search of something more traditional, an abaya will never disappoint.

Without further delay, let’s dig into this year’s best Eid-al-Fitr looks to wear.

Look 1: Modest & Minimalist

Look 2: HijaBAE

Look 3: Sophisticated and chic

Look 4: Traditional
